Bliksem will be playing the aftershow for the legendary MEGADETH @ the Rocktemple, Kerkrade NL, on the 14th of June.

Megadeth are playing @ Parkstad Limburg theater, which is nearby the rocktemple…after their show we will be hitting the stage trying to match with Megadeth .

some more news!

Bliksem will be playing at the Paaspop festival in Schijnel on the 6th of April. We ‘re going to play on the jack daniels stage alongside other great bands such as, Karma to Burn, Vanderbuyst, Hell, Pulled Apart by Horses, … so come and check us out!  There are a lot more bands playin the festival so check the Paaspop site for more info.

We ‘re also playing 4 shows in March so take a look at our tour/shows - page for more info.  Hope to see a lot of you metallers at one of our shows!!!   See ya!

Door critici wordt Mastodon met enige regelmaat de belangrijkste rock/metalband van deze eeuw genoemd. Nu wordt er door het verzameld journaille wel vaker met complimenten gesmeten, maar in het geval van dit getalenteerde viertal uit Georgia snijden de flatteuze kreten zeker hout. Zelden was er een stevige band die zulke creatieve nummers schreef waarin rock, metal en sludge zo pakkend bij elkaar komen als bij Mastodon. Inmiddels is het vijfde album ‘The Hunter’ een feit en daarop blijft de groep zichzelf creatief ongeminderd uitdagen. Allemaal geweldig nieuws natuurlijk, maar met dik een decennium aan podiumervaring is Mastodon ook live een intense, niet te missen beleving. ‘The Hunter’ wordt gelukkig ondersteund met een tournee en het optreden in 013 is ’t enige in Nederland. Support komt er van het Amerikaanse Red Fang.

Hi metalheads!

Next saturday, 14-1-2012, during the eurosonic festival that’s happening all over Groningen, we will headline the ‘Pleuropsonic‘ Festival in Groningen, NL @ ORKZ-BAR. Showtime: 2.00h  A.M.!!!

Later this month, on the 28th of January we will also be playing a show at Monsters Of Mariaheide, check their site.
On the 5th of Februari we’re playing in Zwolle (NL) during the Hedon Metalmarket.
We hope to be playing a lot this year so check our show/tour-page on a regular basis to keep yourself posted!
We also will be doing preproductions of some new songs some time soon…we’re looking forward to that!
